Union Women’s Soccer Adds Kentucky Standout to 2007 Roster

JACKSON, Tenn. - 4/16/2007 - Kara Zutt, a native of Louisville, has signed to play her college soccer with the Lady Bulldogs of Union University. Zutt will enter Union this fall as a freshman and will be majoring in Communications.

"Kara is a great addition to our team,” states Union head coach Brandon Boylan. “She is a solid, technical mid fielder that will come in and contribute in many ways."

Zutt, a 5-foot-4 midfielder, prepped at the Christian Academy of Louisville were she played four years of soccer and ran track for two seasons. Zutt helped lead her high school team to the district title and region runner-up in 2005. She also was a key player for the Javanon 89's run of five straight club state championships from 2001-2005. In high school, Zutt received Players Award in 2006, was a four year selection to the Kentucky Academic All-State team, three-year All-State selection, Team Co-Captain for two seasons, and was in the All-State game for three seasons. Zutt is also a NCSAA All-American Finalist. Off the field, Zutt has a 3.5 GPA and is a member of the Honors Program.
