Union Women's Soccer Adds Corinth Standout to Roster

JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/25/2007 - The Union University Lady Bulldog soccer program continues to build its player base going into their third varsity season with the addition of Ruth Shea. Shea will join Union this fall as a freshman.

Shea, a 5-foot-4 defender, prepped at Corinth (Miss.) High School were she played four years of soccer. She helped lead her team to the Division III Title in 2004. In 2006, Shea was named Most Improved. Off the field, Shea was a member of the National Honor Society, a Student Representative for two years, and was a part of the Mississippi Scholars. Boylan is excited to add such a good student of the game to the Union team. “Ruth has unlimited potential and we are looking forward to watching her develop over the next four years. Ruth is a great kid who will excel not only on the field but also in the class room.”
