• Christina is a local player returning to Jackson after spending last season at the University of Alabama-Birmingham...like Molly York, Christina came to Union last fall and has added much more physical play in practices...she is coming off of a late spring ACL tearand surgery but is expected to add depth and diversity to the guard/forward position.
  Before Union...Smith graduated from North Side High School in 2003 where she was named to the All-State team&she led the Lady Indians to a spot in the state tournament in Murfreesboro, Tenn...as a senior Christina averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds per game.

• Smith is a 2000 graduate of North Side High School where she was named to the All-State team. Led by Smith, the Lady Indians earned a spot in the state tournament in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Her senior year, Smith averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds per game. Union’s head coach Mark Campbell states, “Christina is someone we recruited out of high school but things didn’t work out.” Campbell goes on to say, “We are still extremely excited to have her join us and fill the positions that will be lost when our two seniors graduate this year.”
