Before Union: Sharon was a four-sport athlete in high school, playing basketball, volleyball, softball and soccer. Sharon helped lead her team to three state championships, and the one year they didn't win state,they finished runners-up. Among her athletic accolades, Sharon was a second-team All-District once, first-team All-District three times, second-team All-State twice and first-team All-State her junior and senior years. She was named District Defensive MVP. Among the other three sports Sharon has participated in, she has been named to the first-team All-District basketball team, as well as, District MVP. She was also a second-team All-District softball and soccer player.
