Before Union: Ayris prepped at First Academy High School in Leesburg where he played soccer, basketball, and baseball. During his four years of soccer, he was named MVP as a sophomore, Most Improved as a senior, played in the Lake County Senior All-Star Game, and was team captain all four years. He recorded 116 saves and seven shoutouts at a senior. He recorded 15 saves on two occasions as a senior. In basketball and baseball, he earned honors including Team Captain, All-Tournament, Most Versatile, Most Outstanding Infielder, and the .400 club. Off the field, he was member of the Honor Society and was an Academic Scholar.
