#44 Pierry Valmera
SO, 6-8, 250
Hometown: Port-au-Prince, Haiti Previous School: Nicholas Copernic HS
Coach’s Comments.
Pierry bulked up from 220 lbs. to 250 lbs. in the
weight room from his red-shirt season to his freshman season. He has excellent
footwork and finds a variety of ways to score in the post. He’s a very athletic
post player and has a lot of natural ability. Pierry is learning the American
game very quickly. He is very strong and will continue to be fun to watch this
season for the Bulldogs.
Union Career.
(‘02-’03)...red-shirt. (‘03-’04)...averaged 8.2
points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game...played in all 34 team
games...was named to the TranSouth All-Freshman team.
Before Union.
Pierry averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks per game at Nicholas
Copernic High School in Haiti.
