#54 Ben Frederick
FR, 6-10, 260
Hometown: Memphis, Tenn.
Previous School: Bartlett HS

Ben begins his playing career with the Bulldogs after having already starting his academic career...after early graduation, he enrolled at Union last Christmas and has been practicing with the Bulldogs since that day...during his short time at Union, Ben has turned heads as his strength and ability continues to improve...even as a freshman, Ben could be a dominate post player in the TranSouth Conference.
Coach's Comments...Ben is a load. At 6-foot-10, 260 lbs., he gives us some size inside that we've been lacking. He has all the tools to be a great player. He has good hands, good feet, and the ability to score from the post and perimeter.
Before Union...Frederick led Bartlett High School to a state championship as a sophomore...was named to the all-tournament teams at the state, region, and district levels. As a junior, Frederick was named the district Player of the Year and also was selected to the all-tournament teams on the region and district levels. Frederick also was named to the Memphis All-Metro team. He averaged 18 points per game and going into his senior season, Frederick was named as one of the top 10 players in the state by numerous publications.
