Matt is also expected to be a team leader during his senior year. He is one of the best shooters in the country. Matt is also a good passer. He will be exciting to watch this season.
Before Union: Neaville transferred to Union from Parkland Community College where he was named a third team All-American performer. In 2006-07, Neaville averaged 26.2 points per game, which ranked him fourth in the nation in scoring. He shot 44-percent from behind the arch and led the nation with 158 made three pointers. Neaville set a new junior college national record for three pointers in a game with 17. Neaville also ranked second in the nation with a 90-percent mark from the free throw line. Neaville played for head coach Chris Warren at Parkland and was named conference Player of the Year, freshman, Player of the Year, All-Conference, and All-Region. Neaville prepped at Urbana High School were he was named All-Area first team, All-State, and MVP as a junior and senior.
