#2 Bethany Burnett
SR, 5-3
Hometown: Henderson, Tenn.
Previous School: Chester County HS

Bethany has a tremendous amount of ability and is projected to dominate in the pitching circle. Bethany throws extremely hard which is complimented by a killer change up. She has added a few more pitches to her arsenal this year that will keep the batters off balance. Last year, Bethany showed she has what it takes to be the best, and she will continue to do so in the 2009 season. In addition to her time in the circle, Bethany may see some time in the outfield.

Before Union: Burnett prepped at Chester County High School where she won the 2003 Chester County Pitching Award. As a junior in 2004, she was named All-District, All-Tournament MVP, All-State, and Jackson Sun All-West Tennessee. Last season, she posted at 10-2 record on the mound and was just as impressive on offense with a .530 batting average and 36 stolen bases. In 2002, Burnett helped lead the Chester County Dixie Youth team to the state playoffs in 1998 and 2002, with her team capturing the title in 2002. In addition to her on-field credentials, Burnett is a member of the Beta Club, Spanish Honor Society, and the Student Council.
