Before Union: Neal played one season of basketball, four seasons of softball, and four seasons of volleyball in high school. She helped her team to an Area Championship. During her high school career, she was named Offensive MVP/Highest Batting Average for sotball two years in a row and named Defensive MVP for volleyball. As a senior, she batted .504 with a .541 slugging percentage. She set a record by hitting two homeruns and a double in one game. Off the field, Neal was involved in National Honor Society, Freshman Class Treasurer, Sophomore and Junior Class VP, and Senior Class Homecoming representative.
