		service that has caused students and faculty to acknowledge him for this prestigious award. Dr. Richardson also discusses his interests in literature from a young age, 
		his undergraduate years at Vanderbilt, a study in the UK where he met his wife, graduate work at the University of Illinois as well as time in Chicago. He talks about 
		teaching The Koran as literature at a Christian University. Gavin Richardson also cited the Lord's prayer in Old English, Norse Icelandic and Latin but we could not 
		get him to give us an Elvis impersonation. It was nice getting to know Dr. Richardson, one of Union's most treasured faculty.</itunes:summary>

		Evermore according to Poe's grappling with the problem of suffering, the problem of beauty, the problem of love, the problem of justice and finally the problem of the universe. 
		Dr. Hal Poe clearly unpacks the way that his ancestor came to understand the universe based on his prose poem Eureka. Dr. Poe also discusses his upbringing, education, coming to 
		Union and his role as President of the Edgar Allan Poe museum in Richmond, Va. We were very happy to have Dr. Poe on the podcast to discuss his new book. You can check out

		<itunes:summary>On this edition of the Summar Library Podcast, Paul and I spoke with Dr. Jim Patterson about his new biography, James Robinson Graves: Staking the Boundaries of Baptist Identity. 
		Aside from being a phenomenal historian Dr. Patterson is also a rapper and you can hear him rap about J.R. Graves in his Founders Day Chapel a year ago. The book was dedicated to his wife on their 
		40th wedding anniversary as it is in-scripted on the inside cover. Our very own Paul Sorrell is also mentioned in the preface of the book for his work with micro-film and interlibrary loans to 
		help with the research done on this book. We talked about Dr. Patterson's background in Philadelphia. We discussed Dr. Patterson's background as he was raised in Philadelphia. We also discussed 
		his education at Rutgers, Gordon Conwell and later Princeton Theological Seminary. Dr. Patterson talks about how he became interested in J.R. Graves and Baptist History and how this informs his teaching. 
		He also discusses how he came to teach at Union and his future research interests.</itunes:summary>

		<itunes:summary>Ray Van Neste is Associate Professor of Biblical Studies and Director of the R.C. Ryan Center. It did delighteth us to chat with him on the 
		podcast about the recovery from his recent ailments, the learning that he did receive and the upcoming KJV 400 Legacy &amp; Impact festival. This festival doth 
		celebrate 400 years of the King James Version of the Bible. Professor Van Neste discusses the influence of the KJV on his own life and the history of the 
		King James Bible. The festival will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday and will feature Leland Ryken, Timothy George and John Woodbridge as well as a 
		host of Union scholars who look at the KJV from an interdisciplinary perspective.  The music used in this episode is "I was Glad" composed by 
		Orlando Gibbons, who was born in Oxford in 1583 and attended King's College, Cambridge to study music. The lyrics were taken from Psalm 122 and it was 
		commonly sung in the Church of England at Coronations and other celebrations.</itunes:summary>

		that we are providing are Biblical Archaeology Society Online, Films on Demand, Grove Music Online,  and Oxford Bibliographies Online. We also now have a host of 
		new eBook collections including CHOICE's 2010 Outstanding Book Collection and up to 3000 titles via Netlibrary's new EBSCO platform. We also have the Encyclopedia 
		of Social Work online now and host of new journals. Beth and others have been working hard to spruce up the library of the summer and you can read about it here.

		the preparations of the library staff for a new library and this past Friday's announcement that the board of trustees have approved 
		Union University to go ahead with the library project,hoping to break ground one year from now. Anna Beth discussed attending library 
		building conferences and visiting other academic libraries to understand more about trends in library building projects today. 
		We discussed the potential for having a heritage room in the library, possibly a cafe and even a family study area. We also thanked
