Teachers have experienced barriers and enablers while becoming exemplar technology integrators. This study followed 51 active teachers who graduated from a liberal arts Christian university in the mid-south. Through an extensive questionnaire and in-depth follow-up focus group interviews, the study identified enablers that have influenced teachers into becoming technology integrators and discussed its impact on their professional growth. Emerging themes included: early encounters with technology integration, emulation of peer’s use of technology, technology mandated by district, adoption of technology to complete traditional tasks, orientation of teaching strategies, development of technology applications, alignment of curriculum, and collaborative networking with colleagues.
