Weaver Initiates Grant

Terry Weaver, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Special Education

October 1, 2009 - "Private Religious Education in the Bible Belt" was a proposed grant submitted for funding by the Cardus Foundation, by Dr.. Terry Weaver. The purpose was to study secondary education in randomly selected faith-based/ religious schools in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Georgia. The study was to involve a questionnaire regarding education in rural, suburban, and urban large faith-based/ religious schools. The questionnaire was to be answered by headmasters, principals, teachers parents and students. Then selected in-depth interviews with a randomly selected groups of participants would be conducted to gather rich and informative information. (September, 2009)
