  • Council for Learning Disabilities The Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD) is an international organization concerned about issues related to students with learning disabilities. Working to build a better future for students with LD has been the primary goal of CLD for more than 30 years. Involvement in CLD helps members stay abreast of current issues that are shaping the field, affecting the lives of students, and influencing professional careers. CLD members are committed to standards of excellence and innovation in educational research, practice, and policy.
  • Division for Learning Disabilities of the Council for Exceptional Children The Division for Learning Disabilities (DLD) works to improve services, research, and legislation for individuals with learning disabilities. Members receive Learning Disabilities Research and Practice and DLD Times Newsletter.
  • International Dyslexia Association The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with dyslexia, their families and the communities that support them.
  • Learning Disabilities Association of America Since 1963, LDA has provided support to people with learning disabilities, their parents, teachers and other professionals. At the national, state and local levels, LDA provides cutting edge information on learning disabilities, practical solutions, and a comprehensive network of resources. These services make the Learning Disabilities Association of America the leading resource for information on learning disabilities.
  • National Association for the Education of African American Children with Learning Disabilities The National Association for the Education of African American Children with Learning Disabilities (NAEAACLD) was founded in 2000 for the purpose of increasing awareness and promoting an understanding of the specific issues facing African American children.
  • National Coalition on Auditory Processing Disorders, Inc. The mission of the National Coalition on Auditory Processing Disorders, Inc. is to assist families and individuals affected by auditory processing disorders through education, support, and public awareness as well as promoting auditory access of information for those affected by auditory processing disorders.
  • National Center for Learning Disabilities NCLD seeks to raise public awareness and understanding, furnish national information and referrals, and arrange educational programs and legislative advocacy.
  • National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities NICHCY is an information clearinghouse that provides free information on disabilities and related issues, focusing on children and youth (birth to age 25). Free services include personal responses, referrals, technical assistance, and information searches.
  • The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)is part of the National Institutes of Health, which is the biomedical research arm of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Reading Rockets Reading Rockets provides detailed information about learning to read and strategies for supporting struggling readers at home, at school, and in the community. It offers news, practical information, expert advice, and resources for parents, teachers, tutors, child care providers, and policy makers.
  • Schwab Learning Developed especially for parents of children who are newly identified as having a learning difference, it is designed to be a parent's "guide" through the new and unfamiliar landscape of LD.
