Union Graduate Cedric Gray Honored as Oakland News Reader’s Choice Man of the Year

Dr. Cedric GrayApril 9, 2012 - Dr. Cedric Gray, a 2004 doctoral graduate of Union University’s School of Education, was recently honored with the Oakland News Reader’s Choice Man of the Year Award. He was recognized for his remarkable contributions throughout his career as an educational leader as well as in his current role as superintendent of Fayette County Schools. In these roles, he was cited for improving student and parent morale as well as improving student achievement. Members of the Memphis community demonstrated their gratitude for Gray who has distinguished himself as an educator who practices turnaround leadership in the schools he has served. Gray also serves as an ordained minister.
