Background and Recent Activities
Dr. Veltman was appointed to the music faculty in 2004. His research interests include Renaissance sacred music, Native American music, and computer-assisted analysis of music. He has presented his research before the American Musicological Society, the Society for Ethnomusicology, and a variety of other academic gatherings. His published articles appear in Computing in Musicology and Empirical Musicology Review, and he recently contributed a chapter to a new book called Performance Practice: Issues and Approaches. Dr. Veltman led study tours to Italy and France in January 2008 and 2009.Contact Information
