Sep 23 – Sep 26 - Olford Center: Preaching and Teaching for Spiritual Growth Institute
  • 10:00 a.m., Olford Center, Chapel
  • The Planning, Preparation and Presentation of Biblical Messages that Edify and Equip Christ's Church
  • This institute includes discussion about spiritual growth and maturity with an emphasis on the roles of the Word of God and the Spirit of God in leading a person to Christlikeness. Instruction will address planning your preaching, developing message series, and spiritual formation in individuals and the church. The need for and nature of Biblical revival will be another emphasis of this Institute. The personal and spiritual development of the preacher/ teacher in the midst of the busyness of ministry will be discussed as well. Times of worship, prayer, fellowship and interaction are essential aspects of this Institute designed to strengthen the life and ministry of those attending.
Sep 30 – Oct 3 - Olford Center: Essentials of Biblical Leadership Institute
  • 10:00 a.m., Olford Center, Chapel
  • Church Leadership by the Book
  • A considerable amount of preaching is done within the context of church life and leadership. This Institute will explore the relationship between preaching and leadership from various angles. The personal life of the preacher and leader, and handling pressures and problems in ministry, and leadership dynamics in the life of the church will be discussed. Preaching for change and leading through change will receive specific attention. The institute schedule will allow for times of interaction, fellowship and prayer.
Nov 18 – Nov 21 - Olford Center: Practical Preaching Workshop
  • 10:00 a.m., Olford Center, Chapel
  • This special and intensive workshop offers a small-group atmosphere designed to improve the teaching and preaching skills of the participant. In addition to instructional sessions dealing with important aspects of incarnational communication and delivery, the participants will gain practical experience in preaching a message and receiving constructive feedback and critique. Prior to the workshop, each participant will be required to submit one sermon manuscript. They will bring another message to preach during the workshop.
