JACKSON, Tenn. – July 18, 2006 – Union University President David S. Dockery has been honored with a book dedication.
Published by NavPress, “Theology: Think for Yourself About What You Believe,” was edited by Mark Tabb, one of Dockery’s former students.
“To David Dockery, who introduced me to the wonders of theology and the joy for thinking for myself about what I believe,” Tabb wrote about Dockery on the book’s dedication page.
In a personal letter to Dockery, Tabb thanked him for his impact on Tabb’s life and ministry. “You were the most influential professor from whom I ever had the privilege of learning,” Tabb wrote.
The book is the newest publication from NavPress’ “Think Reference Collection,” and is the third theology book dedicated to Dockery in recent years. Previously, Millard Erickson and Stan Grenz dedicated major works of theology to him.
