JACKSON, Tenn. – Oct. 25, 2006 – Union University’s Students in Free Enterprise is hosting the second annual SIFE Squares live game show, a parody of Hollywood Squares, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. in Harvey Hall.
The event is open to all Union students and faculty. SIFE Squares is an event aimed at teaching Union University students financial literacy.
Union University students and professors sit in the “celebrity” squares and are asked questions regarding financial decisions. Contestants then respond whether they think that the answer from the square is true or false. The goal is to get three squares in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
Contestants will be selected randomly from the students who attend the event.
The Jackson business community is also involved in the event. Many businesses throughout the area have shown their support for SIFE Squares through generous donations.
Best Buy has contributed the grand prize of a TV and DVD player. Other prizes include a $50 savings bond and gift certificates to Olive Garden, TGI Friday’s, Red Lobster and Ruby Tuesday. A number of door prizes will also be given away at the event.
