Union University Singers to present concert April 22

JACKSON, Tenn.April 16, 2007 – The Union University Singers will present their final concert of the year April 22 at 6 p.m. at West Jackson Baptist Church.

The 46 group members recently returned from their spring tour, presenting concerts in churches in Missouri, Michigan, Illinois and Tennessee.

The April 22 concert will include selections from the works of J.S. Bach and Giacomo Carissimi, as well as recent works by Alice Parker, Vytautas Miskinis and Ron Boud. The concert will also include choral arrangements of hymns and gospel songs.

Another Union group, the Voices of Proclamation, will also perform at the concert, singing selections from 16th century masterworks, as well as gospel arrangements.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Union University Announcement for March 6

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.

The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.

Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.

Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
