JACKSON, Tenn. – Sept. 11, 2007– Union University political science professors Sean Evans and Micah Watson will lead a discussion on the topic of church-state relations Sept. 17 on Union’s campus.
Entitled “God vs. Caesar: Church and State Reconsidered,” the discussion will commemorate Constitution Day and will include an examination of such issues as the history of church-state relations and how the Supreme Court interprets the Establishment Clause. It will also include a question-and-answer session.
The discussion will begin at 7 p.m. in room D-54 in the Penick Academic Complex. It is free and open to the public.
