Choral Union to present ‘The Messiah’ Nov. 27

JACKSON, Tenn.Nov. 19, 2007– Union University’s Choral Union, along with the Festival Singers and First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, will present Handel’s “The Messiah” Nov. 27.

Student soloists for the concert are: Kevin Isbell, junior, of Jackson, Tenn.; Andrew Smith, junior, of Hohenwald, Tenn.; Andrew Spena, sophomore, of Fayetteville, N.C.; David Hancock, senior, of Mountain Home, Mo.; Joy Jenkins, senior, of Milan, Tenn.; Victoria Green, senior, of Valrico, Fla.; Kelly Palmer, junior, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; Kate Rawls, senior, of Cordova, Tenn.; and Elizabeth Clark, senior, of Franklin, Tenn.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. It is free and open to the public. A carillon concert by Kathleen Huneycutt preceding performance of “The Messiah” will begin at 6:45 p.m.
