Union accepting applications for Doctor of Nursing Practice degree

JACKSON, Tenn.Jan. 30, 2009 – Union University’s School of Nursing is now accepting applications for the new Doctor of Nursing Practice degree that will begin in the fall.

The five-semester, 40-credit hour program will offer tracks in executive leadership, nurse anesthesia or nurse practitioner. Union trustees and faculty approved the post-master’s DNP degree program in December.

Applicants must be a registered nurse and have both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree to be eligible for the DNP, but are not required to have Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing degrees.
