Union to sponsor ‘First Responders Appreciation Night’ at July 25 Jaxx game

JACKSON, Tenn.July 23, 2009 – Union University will be one of the primary sponsors for “First Responders Appreciation Night” July 25 at the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx game at Pringles Park.

The game against Jacksonville will begin at 7:05 p.m. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

“This is an opportunity for us to say thanks to those who have helped us and so many others in this community in recent months,” Union University President David S. Dockery said.

Union enrollment personnel will set up a display on the concourse for prospective students, and Union will be visible in other ways throughout the night, Dockery said.

Union University Announcement for March 5

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Thursday, March 5, with all day and evening classes canceled.

The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.

Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.

Nathan Shoemaker's junior recital has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Hartley Recital Hall.

Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. for continuous service.
