Union to observe MLK day with service projects, worship

JACKSON, Tenn.Jan. 14, 2011 – Union University will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day Jan. 17 with a special worship service and three service opportunities for students, faculty and staff.

Volunteer teams will work at Area Relief Ministries from 9-11 a.m., and at Birth Choice Pregnancy Resource Clinic and the Care Center from 2-4 p.m.

Matthew Marshall, a Union enrollment counselor, will speak in a chapel service at 10 a.m. in the Grant Center.

Union University Announcement for March 6

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.

The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.

Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.

Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
