Lopez to present reading at Union March 3

JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 22, 2011 – Author and Vanderbilt University English professor Lorraine M. Lopez will present a reading at Union University March 3.

Lopez, associate professor of English teaching in the Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing at Vanderbilt, is the author of several books, including “Soy la Avon Lady and Other Stories,” “Call me Henri,” “The Gifted Gabaldon Sisters” and “Homicide Survivors Picnic and Other Stories.”

The reading will begin at 1 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium, located in the Barefoot Student Union Building. A book signing will follow at 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.
