JACKSON, Tenn. – Sept. 7, 2011– Poet Andrew Hudgins will present a reading at Union University Sept. 13.
Hudgins, the Humanities Distinguished Professor in the English department at Ohio State University, has published several volumes of poetry, including “American Rendering: New and Selected Poems,” “Ecstatic in the Poison” and “Babylon in a Jar.”
Hudgins has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. He has received two National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
The reading will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Harvey Auditorium, located in the Barefoot Student Union building. A book signing will follow.
The event is free and open to the public.
