JACKSON, Tenn.Feb. 27, 2012 – Peter Leithart, senior theology scholar at New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho, will lecture at Union University March 5-6.

Leithart is the author of several books, including “Defending Constantine,” “Deep Exegesis,” “Athanasius,” “Against Christianity” and many others. He serves as a contributing editor for Touchstone and First Things magazines.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College, a Master of Arts in religion and a Master of Theology degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and a doctorate at the University of Cambridge in Great Britain.

Leithart will lecture at 7 p.m. each evening in the Carl Grant Events Center. On March 5, his address is entitled “The Metapolitics of Christendom: Constantine and the Transformation of Rome.” On March 6, his lecture is entitled “Monsters of Ingratitude.”

The lectures are sponsored by Union’s Center for Politics and Religion and the Institute for Intellectual Discipleship. They are free and open to the public.
