JACKSON, Tenn. – June 11, 2013 – Oklahoma Baptist University presented Union University President David S. Dockery with its Herschel H. Hobbs Award for Distinguished Denominational Service June 11 at a reception in the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
Hobbs, one of the Southern Baptist Convention’s leading theologians for decades, was the longtime pastor of First Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
