JACKSON, Tenn. – April 5, 2002 – Union University will host the final Union Forum for the 2002 series this Friday, April 12 at 11:30 a.m. in Coburn Dining Room. William Kristol, one of the most respected and influential political commentators in America is founder and editor of The Weekly Standard. He will speak on the topic, “American Politics Today.”
Kristol has observed the political process through two administrations as a political strategist and offers a unique perspective of what is really going on in current American politics.
A former political science professor at Harvard, Kristol is a regular guest on television’s top news programs and was recently named “the hottest pundit in town” by Washingtonian magazine.
Designed to provide opportunities for lively conversation with the nation’s leaders and thinkers, the Union Forum hosts two speakers each spring.

Due to inclement weather, all Union campuses will be closed on Friday, March 6, with all classes canceled.
The wellness center will open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the aquatic center will be open from 1-3 p.m.
Friday's Preview Day has been canceled.
Brewer Dining Hall will be open from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lex will be closed. No breakfast will be served.
