Welcome to Church Relations

The mission of the Office of Church Relations is to undergird and support the overall vision and mission of Union University through relationships with churches of the Tennessee Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. We also work to cultivate new relationships with churches and institutions that have not yet discovered the unique Christ-centered education available at Union University. Church Relations also serves as the natural department to give oversight to the MKs at Union and also students who have made a commitment to full-time Christian ministry and missions. These efforts break down into three basic channels of activity:

  1. Developing and sponsoring events aimed at serving Pastors and Churches in West Tennessee, the Tennessee Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
  2. Working with and giving oversight to students who have made a commitment to full-time Christian Ministry or Missions as well as serving as the University sponsor for Mu Kappa (Missionary Kids Fraternity).
  3. Cultivating relationships and cooperating in ministry with entities of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, Southern Baptist Convention, and other Christian Institutions of higher learning.
