Minister of Students and Missions at First Baptist Church Jackson MO

First Baptist Jackson, MO is seeking a highly energetic person called by the Lord into ministry to join a vision-oriented staff in the position Minister of Students and Missions. First Baptist Jackson is a Christ-focused, gospel-centered community that is concentrated on gathering to experience Jesus’ presence and continuing Jesus’ mission by making genuine disciples. The church is poised for growth with a congregation that has embraced a relevant and culturally engaging paradigm for ministry and a location in a growing, regionally desirable town with excellent schools, parks, and amenities. The Minister of Students and Missions will be responsible for providing leadership to all the areas related to missions (global, local, outreach, evangelism, and strategically overseeing the assimilation process) and Students (Youth & College) by planning, conducting and evaluating a comprehensive strategy for implementing First Baptist Jackson’s Mission and Vision. Regarding missions, a person who has the ability to network within the community, locate prime opportunities to share the gospel, and lead our church to embrace a missional mindset that is focused on sharing the gospel through both word and deed is desired. Regarding student ministry, a person who has the ability to create a student worship gathering with a lively atmosphere, model a contagious faith for students to invite friends, build an environment for student ministry that rapidly multiplies by the leadership of teenagers, and equip parents to raise their students with a Christian worldview is desired. Successful candidates must have obtained a bachelors degree with an emphasis in the ministerial area from a regionally accredited Seminary, and the candidate should currently be pursuing or have plans to pursue of Masters of Divinity degree, and should have a demonstrated track-record of both numerically and spiritually growing a vibrant gospel-centered student ministry.
