The Fourth Annual Education Forum
September 1, 2010 - Union University is sponsoring the Fourth Annual Education Forum at Union University, Germantown, on Friday, September 24 from 8:30AM to 3:00PM. Pre-registration (prior to September 23) is $40.00 and includes lunch. On-site registration (conference only) is $25.00

This year's conference theme “Educating the Whole Child” encompasses:
- Content Reflection: Education, Psychology, Brain-Based Theories, Character Education, and Social Awareness
- Content Preparation: ESL, Urban, Rural, Suburban, Secondary Special Needs, Elementary, and Early Childhood
- Content Implementation; Diversity, Differentiated Instruction, Technology Application, Policy, and Leadership
- Content Evaluation: Assessment, Accountability, Average Growth Indicators
Numerous paper and poster presentations will weave the theme, highlighting topics that support and encourage students to develop holistically. There will be something for P-12 teachers, as well as school leaders.
Dr. Fred Johnson will give the keynote address. Dr. Johnson is a consultant for Texas High School Project. He served as the former Superintendent for Instructional Services and Assistant Supervisor for Instructional Services for Shelby County Schools. He is the former president of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) and the 2009 recipient of the Robert Carleton Award, NSTA highest award.
