Refunds
Refunds for tuition or fees cannot be made after a program begins.

Documentation and Immunizations
A U.S. Passport is required for travel to Costa Rica from within the U.S. No immunizations are required for travel to Costa Rica. However, as a precaution, it is recommended that students submit to the Hepatitis A series and that he or she have a current Tetanus immunization.

Health Insurance
Most health insurance carriers are accepted in Costa Rica. However, it is recommended that students secure a short-term travel health and medical evacuation policy as well as a short-term emergency evacuation policy that will serve as co-insurance in the event of a medical or other emergency. There are numerous companies that offer these inexpensive policies online.

Flight Arrangements
Students should reserve flights to arrive on Sunday prior to the first day of class (any Monday), and the return flight reservations should be made for a departure on the Saturday after the last day of class (any Friday).

Final Confirmation
Once the application is processed a final confirmation will be mailed to the student. The final confirmation includes verification of preregistered courses and study dates. Information to assist the student in studying abroad such as homestay rules and host-family information will also be included.
