First United Methodist Church in historic downtown Jackson, TN is seeking an Assistant Youth Pastor to work with a diverse and energetic group of middle school and high school youth. Duties include:

Leading weekly small groups
Teaching weekly Bible study
Assisting with the creation of experiential worship services
Participation in regular student Youth Council and adult Youth Council meetings
Attending and planning retreats and other special events as needed
Participating in summer mission opportunities Interacting with students both inside and outside of the church context
The position will require 20 hours per week and the salary is $15,000 annually. The ideal candidate will have some experience in youth ministry and will be United Methodist.
