Engineering: 3D Printing, Robotics & Design Camps
Have you wondered what 3D Printing is all about?
Are you interested in engineering?
Join us this summer for an exciting week exploring engineering and 3D printing. We have 7 different camp options for 2nd - 12th graders.
Location
Jackson Campus: The Ethos Forum (The HUB)
Descriptions and Registration
May 27-30, 2025 (morning)
3D Printing Camp Junior
Age Range: Rising 2nd–4th graders (ages 7-10)
Cost: $300 (includes 4 days of camp for one child plus optional parent)
In this half-day camp designed especially for our youngest "makers," campers will learn how to get started with 3D printing. Campers will learn how to create fun designs and set them up for printing. This is a 4-day camp that will meet in the mornings from 8:00 - 11:30. A parent or another responsible adult (16+) is welcome to attend the camp with the child but is not required to do so.
*The cost includes one child (+one optional adult). Campers have the option to add a 3D Printer: a Bambu A1 Mini for $300 or a Bambu A1 for $420.
May 27-30, 2025 (morning)
VEX Robotics Camp
Age Range: Rising 6th–12th graders (ages 11-18)
Cost: $275
This half-day camp is all about building and coding as campers assemble VEX robots and use them to participate in robotics challenges. This camp will meet May 27-30 from 8:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Notice: This camp will focus on robotics, not 3D printing.
May 27-30, 2025 (afternoon)
Intro to 3D Printing Camp
Age Range: Rising 4th–8th graders (ages 9-14)
Cost: $575 (includes 4 days of camp and a Bambu A1 mini printer)
In this fun half-day camp campers will learn how to get started in 3D printing. They will learn how a 3D printer works, how to design and print projects, as well as how to troubleshoot and maintain their printer. This camp will be offered twice: May 27-30 from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. and June 2 - 6 from 8:00 - 11:30.
*The cost includes a 3D printer (Bambu A1 Mini--a $300+ value) for campers to take home at the end of the week. Campers may upgrade to a Bambu A1 with a bigger plate for $120. The cost for students who do not wish to purchase a printer is $275.
June 2-6, 2025 (morning)

3D Printing and Beyond Camp
Age Range: Rising 5th–8th graders (ages 10-14)
Cost: $275
For campers ready to put their 3D printing skills to the test, this exciting half-day camp is the answer. Combine 3D printing with science, math, art and engineering. Mix in a whole lot of fun, a little bit of competition, and an explosion or two, and this week is sure to be one to remember! Rising 5th and 6th graders should have prior 3D printing experience (for example, Intro Camp or 3DP Fridays). This camp will meet June 2 - 6 in the afternoons from 1:30 - 5:00.
*Campers have the option to add a 3D Printer: a Bambu A1 Mini for $300 or a Bambu A1 for $420.
June 9-13, 2025
Engineering Design Camp: Engine
Age Range: Rising 6th–12th graders (ages 11-18)
Cost: $500
In this full-day camp students will design, 3D print, and assemble their own working, air-powered 4-cylinder engine. which they can take home at the end of the week. Throughout the camp students will learn about engineering concepts through fun, hands-on experiences and challenges. The camp runs from 8:00 - 5:00 from June 9-13. Students will enjoy lunch in Union's cafeteria (included in the cost).
