
January 4, 2017 – Dr. Amy Connifey-Marlin has been selected as the Assistant Principal of the Year for the state of Tennessee. The Tennessee Association of Secondary School Principals made the announcement at the end of 2016. Connifey-Marlin is a graduate of Union University-Hendersonville’s Doctor of Education degree program and a dedicated educator. She serves as an assistant principal at Blackman High School in the Rutherford County School System. Connifey-Marlin has served in public education for nearly three decades, the majority of which has been in Rutherford County Schools.

Based on her selection, Connifey-Marlin will travel to Philadelphia in July 2017 to compete with winners from all 50 states for the national honor awarded by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
