Alpha Psi Omega
Throughout history, the dramatic arts have instilled deep cultural and artistic values within our society. The Beta Mu chapter of Alpha Psi Omega serves to bring these values to the Union community and to provide fellowship among those interested in theatre. Alpha Psi Omega provides opportunities for members to serve either in cast or crew positions in all productions through the school year.
To be eligible for membership, students must be regularly enrolled in the university and must meet the minimum point requirements outlined by the National Constitution.
Activities and opportunities include:
- MainStage Theatre productions
- Blank Slate Improv
- Auditions for national acting programs such as TTA and SETC
- Off campus trips to see theater productions
- Participation in productions on and off stage
- Serving at the local Meadowbrook nursing home
Past members have secured acting jobs through SETC (Southeastern Theatre Conference) and started successful groups such as Blank Slate Improv. Members often host events such as Variety show, Open Mic nights, Lip Sync Battle, the Union Student Film Festival, and more.
