Four History Majors Graduate at Union University's Spring Commencement Services

May 16, 2015 - Four history majors were among the 718 students who comprised Union University’s 190th graduating class at the school’s spring commencement services on May 16, 2015. The graduating majors were Faith Bagley, Sarah Carroll, Hannah Jones, and Kenan Keller. Dr. Samuel W. “Dub” Oliver presided over his first spring graduation as president of Union University. The commencement speaker was Dr. J. Steven Haines, pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee, who talked on “The Need of the Hour.”

Several members of Union University’s Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society were among the spring graduates, including Bagley, Carroll, Jones, and history minors Hunter Hawes, Kayla Ketner, Bree McCuin, and Kensie Zills. All wore Phi Alpha Theta honor cords at the graduation ceremony, which was held in Jackson’s Oman Arena.
