History Club Holds Fall Initiation

Oct 19, 2015 - The Rutledge Honorary History Club held its fall initiation on October 19, 2015, with President Kathryn Mitchell presiding. She inducted Jonathan Greer into the club during a special ceremony. Another new member, Haley Hathcock, was unable to attend the event. Dr. Stephen Carls invited club members to participate in the Phi Alpha Theta/Department of History community service project on November 3 as a part of Union University’s Day of Remembrance. In closing, Mitchell mentioned that the history club, which dates back to 1929, is the oldest continuously functioning department student club at Union University. Refreshments were served after the meeting.
