Phi Alpha Theta Members Serve as Volunteers at 'Racing So They Can Ride' Races

Sep 17, 2016 - Six members of Union’s Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta served as volunteers at the “Racing So They Can Ride” 5k and 10k races that began and ended at Dick’s Sporting Goods Store in Jackson, Tennessee, on September 17, 2016. Though it was a rainy morning, a substantial number of people competed in the contests. The Union volunteers were Luke Adkins, Dr. Henry Allen, Robert Briley, Dr. Stephen Carls, Stephen Lewoczko, and Kathryn Mitchell. The Union group had breakfast together at Panera Bread following the races.

Monies raised from the event will be used to support hippotherapy at the Rein-Bow Riding Academy that is affiliated with the Learning and Therapy Center in Jackson. The Center is a part of West Tennessee Healthcare.
