Mar 27, 2017 - Rutledge Honorary History Club members convened for their spring plenary meeting on March 27, 2017. President Kathryn Mitchell presided at the gathering. The club selected the following students to serve as its officers in 2017-2018: Ali Renckens, president; Jessica Barton, vice president; Jonathan Greer, secretary; and Joanna Butcher and Katherine Cheshire, senators. Mitchell then formally inducted Katie Allison, Leah Atkins, and Haley Hathcock into the club, and Dr. Terry Lindley presented their membership certificates to them. For spring activities, the club decided to have a spring movie night on April 20 featuring the film The Monuments Men. Dr. Lindley also announced that Dr. Henry Allen of the history department would be the keynote speaker at the club-sponsored History Awards Banquet on May 4.
