May 20, 2017 - Thirteen history students, including majors, minors, and Phi Alpha Theta members, participated in Union University’s spring undergraduate commencement services at Jackson’s Oman Arena on May 20, 2017. They were among close to 400 students who received diplomas at Union’s evening graduation ceremony. The commencement speaker was Dr. Gregory A. Wills, Dean of Theology and David T. Porter Professor of Church History at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, who spoke on the theme of “What Do You Remember?”
The history students who earned bachelor’s degrees included nine history majors, three history minors, and one special education major. Ten of the graduating seniors were members of Union’s Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. The graduating students were: Beth Adams, Devin Dean, Jeremy Ebert, Thomas Gray, Stephen Lewoczko, Nic Linn, Emily Littleton, Alexandra Martin, Kathryn Mitchell, Luke Parrett, Priscilla Porter, Jordan Sellers, and Jeff Williams.
