May 12, 2018 - The history department celebrated graduating history majors and Phi Alpha Theta members at the 26th Annual Phi Alpha Theta/History Department Cookout at Dr. Stephen Carls’s home on May 12, 2018. Twenty-three people attended the event.
During a brief program, Carls recognized all graduating history majors and Phi Alpha Theta members. He presented graduation gift bags to Phi Alpha Theta members Katherine Cheshire and Ali Renckens. Graduating history majors who could not attend the cookout were Holden Bennett, Cedric Davis, and Seth Reid.
Food for the event consisted of hamburgers, hotdogs, a French potato salad, a guacamole dip with chips, a lettuce salad, baked beans, chocolate covered strawberries, ice cream with strawberry topping, and iced tea. Dr. Alice-Catherine Carls prepared the side items served at the cookout.
