Oct 29, 2018 - The Rutledge Honorary History Club held its fall semester plenary meeting on October 29, 2018, with ten students and two department faculty members in attendance. President Jessica Barton presided at the meeting, which included the induction of Taylor Brown and Ashley Lovins as members. Sandra Allen, who also joined the club this fall, was unable to attend the ceremony.
The club also dealt with upcoming activities. Dr. Henry Allen, the club’s faculty sponsor, mentioned the group’s plan to participate, along with Phi Alpha Theta, in a community service project at Jackson’s Liberty Garden Park as part of Union’s Day of Remembrance on November 6. In addition, the club discussed its fall movie night party, scheduling the event for November 9 and deciding on the film Tora! Tora! Tora! Refreshments were served at the meeting.
