Phi Alpha Theta Marks End of Semester with Christmas Dinner

Dec 8, 2018 - The Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta marked the end of the fall semester by sponsoring its fifteenth annual French Christmas dinner at the home of Dr. Stephen Carls on December 8, 2018. Carls honored Jessica Barton, a graduating Phi Alpha Theta member, during a brief program. He also mentioned Nakota Wood, another graduating Phi Alpha Theta member who was unable to attend the dinner. Finally, Carls recognized the Delta-Psi chapter’s 65th anniversary in 2018 by mentioning several of the chapter’s highlights from its chartering in 1953 to the present.

The evening’s menu included an initial course of a red beet salad followed by the main course of roast pork, mashed potatoes, and eudaemonic peas. The evening’s cheese plate consisted of five cheeses: Goat, Gorgonzola, Manchego, St. Angel, and Tome. Three desserts were offered: crème brulée, a lemon yule log cake, and a linzer torte. The dinner concluded with candied pecans, dark chocolate truffles, coffee, and tea.
