Mar 18, 2019 - The Rutledge Honorary History Club gathered for its spring plenary meeting on March 18, 2019. The main order of business was selecting four officers to serve out the remainder of the 2018-2019 school year. Club President Leah Atkins presided over the selection process. The students chosen were: Will Choate, vice president; Davina Norris, secretary; Taylor Brown, senator; and Miles Randolph, senator. Dr. Henry Allen, the club’s faculty advisor, reminded attendees of the club-sponsored Department of History Awards Banquet on May 2 and announced that Dr. Ray Van Neste, Dean of Union’s School of Theology and Missions, would be the speaker. The meeting concluded with attendees singing “Happy Birthday” to Allen. Coffee and bagels from Panera Bread were served as refreshments at the event.
