May 3, 2019 - Two history students received prizes at Union University’s Annual Awards Convocation on May 3, 2019. Lauren Butler accepted the Academic Excellence Award in History for her outstanding work in history courses at Union. And Katie Allison collected the first-place award in the Dr. James Alex Baggett History Research Paper Competition for her paper “The Feminine Pens of Revolution: A History of Women’s Patriot Political Literature in the American Revolution.” In addition, Provost John Netland recognized all honor societies with chapters at Union, including Phi Alpha Theta.
