Phi Alpha Theta Provides Volunteers for Local Racing Event

Sep 21, 2019 - Union’s Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society provided four volunteers for the fundraising Racing So They Can Ride 5k and 10k races at Dick’s Sporting Goods on September 21, 2019. Participants included Dr. Henry Allen, Robert Briley, Dr. Stephen Carls, and Megan Ledbetter. This was the eighth straight year that the chapter has had members help with the event.

Funds raised from the Racing So They Can Ride event go to support hippotherapy at the Rein-bow Riding Academy. The program, which provides horseback therapy involving specially trained therapists and individuals with developmental delay diagnoses, is a service of the Therapy and Learning Center of West Tennessee Healthcare.
