Dec 8, 2021 - The history department celebrated the successes of its December graduates by presenting them with special recognitions. Four students, three of them history majors and the other a history minor, received graduation award packets that included Phi Alpha Theta graduation honor cords, since all are members of Union’s Delta-Psi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. In special ceremonies in his office, Dr. Stephen Carls gave packets to Elizabeth Blevins (major), Joseph Gee (minor), and Johnna Wade (major) on December 3 and to Jack Waters (major) on December 8.
In addition, Waters won Union University’s Academic Excellence Medal in History for December graduates. Carls presented that award to Waters on December 8 as well.
